Custom Treatment Recommendations

RoadCast® is an optional service.

The treatment recommendations display the FHWA treatment plan by default, however you may customize the treatment recommendations to display your own treatment rules. You may create up to 10 treatment plans.

Create a Treatment Plan

1. Select the Settings Menu button.

2. Select the Treatment Plans Menu option.

3. Click the New button below the Treatment Plan listing box.

4. Type a title in the Treatment Plan Name text field and hit the Enter key from your keyboard.

5. Select a Cycle Time. This route cycle time represents the hours between treatments.

6. Click the View/Edit link in the Recommendation column.

7. Type the specifics of your treatment plan for the weather scenario in the text field.

8. Continue this process in all weather scenarios. This is a one time setup.

9. Click Save Changes.

You may have multiple treatment plans due to differing levels of service, varying route cycle times, new chemicals you’re testing, and so on. To create multiple treatment plans, simply repeat the steps above. Choose one of your plans and select Set As Default. When you view the 24 hour RoadCast® forecast and weather conditions warrant action, clicking the snowplow  will display your default custom treatment plan. The snowplow will turn from orange to red if changing weather conditions warrant a different treatment plan.
