WindMonitor™
is available in the Construction and Alberta editions of MxVision
WeatherSentry Online®.
The
WindMonitor™
graphic gives you valuable wind data at a glance. To change the threshold
setting of the WindMonitor™,
click the Change Settings link. All locations will use the same threshold.
The
WindMonitor™
graphical display uses a color-code and accompanying text to depict the
status of your location.
Green
The wind forecast for the next 12 hours does not exceed
the threshold.
Yellow
The wind forecast for the next 12 hours exceeds the threshold.
If
the forecast remains above the threshold, the text within the monitor
graphic states "forecast to continue".
If
the forecast exceeds, but then drops below the threshold within the 12
hour period, an end time is provided.
Red
The actual wind speed for the current hour exceeds the threshold
value.
About the WindMonitor™ graphical display:
The
WindMonitor™
displays the status of current and forecasted wind speeds and/or
gusts using both color and text descriptions.
The WindMonitor™ reviews forecast data
for the next 12 hours and updates the color/text status if wind speeds
and/or gusts are forecasted to exceed your threshold.
The default threshold value is
20 mph (32 km/h). Click the Change Settings
link to set your preferred threshold. All locations use the same threshold
setting.
