MxVision WeatherSentry® SmartPhone and Roaming Alerting provides you access to the time-critical Telvent weather information that you rely on each day from your App-enabled cellular phone. While roaming, you can quickly access alerts, current radar, PrecipTimer®, lightning (optional purchase) and hourly and daily forecasts for your current location or any of your saved locations while you are away from the office or your computer.

Getting Started

The MxVision WeatherSentry® SmartPhone and Roaming Alerting App is available for the iPhone and Android. Once your account has been purchased, you will receive your user name and password via email. English units are used in all instances on the iPhone. The SmartPhone App for Android can be set to English or metric.

	Sign out of your SmartPhone App.
	Jump to your Roaming Location.
	Open the locations screen.

Roaming Location

With MxVision WeatherSentry® SmartPhone your phone becomes a roaming location, you will be able to view live weather data - wherever you go! With the optional Roaming Alerting service you can receive alerts as well.

Launch your roaming location

Name your iPhone according to vendor instructions. You are able to change the name at any time, using the same vendor instructions.
Login to MxVision WeatherSentry® SmartPhone App.
A User Acceptance of GPS Coordinates will appear, you must accept the conditions in order to view roaming locations.
If asked, allow the App to initiate your GPS tracker.
The App will note your GPS location and automatically create a roaming location using your device name. Your location is monitored and updated every five minutes in the Weather Viewer of MxVision WeatherSentry Online®.

Add Fixed Locations

Instructions for creating a location from within your MxVision WeatherSentry Online® interface are found on the My Fixed Locations page.

Create a GPS Location

Tap the Locations icon.
Within the Locations screen, tap the Add button.
To create a fixed location at your current GPS, tap Use Current Location. The location name, address and latitude and longitude of your position will be populated.
You may edit the name and/or address fields prior to saving the location.
Tap the Done button.

Create a location by Address

Tap the Locations icon.
Within the Locations screen, tap the Add button.
The screen defaults to the address page.
Name the location.
Add the address.
Tap the Done button.

Create a location using Latitude and Longitude

Tap the Locations icon.
Within the Locations screen, tap the Add button.
Type a name for the location.
Tap Latitude & Longitude to add the coordinates.
Tap the Done button.
