The Interface

The Interface chapter discusses the layout of the MxVision WeatherSentry Online® software interface. Menus, buttons and the toolbar are explained.

Getting Started

The Getting Started chapter will do just that; get you started in using all of the functions and features of MxVision WeatherSentry Online®. This chapter will step you through creating your asset locations and their monitoring criteria. Alert setup is discussed as well as creating favorites and slide shows. The basic instruction on viewing products is also included in this chapter.

Local Radar

Local Radar offers numerous map, weather, tropical forecast and historical storm layers. Local Radar has its own toolbar with extra functionality built in, including animation, zoom and pan, and get details.

Mobile
(optional service)

Access MxVision WeatherSentry Mobile® on your cell phone or PDA. Display lightning, animated radar, NWS bulletins, forecasts and current conditions. Pavement forecasts are available to users who have purchased both Pavement Forecast and MxVision WeatherSentry Mobile®. Current Conditions for pavement are also available for users who have implemented RWIS. For additional details view the Mobile chapter of the Help files.

Quick Plume

(optional service)

Display a dispersion plume indicating areas affected by a chemical spill.

Pavement Forecast

(optional service)

Pavement forecasts for winter road maintenance can be obtained for locations with RWIS (Road Weather Information Sensors) or without (RoadCast®). Available in the Pavement Forecast, Transportation, Airport Operations, Public Safety and Alberta editions.

Account

The Account chapter discusses changing your password, creating an alias, and setting up your free daily forecast email.

If the help files do not answer your questions, you may choose to visit the Telvent knowledgebase via the Customer Service button located at the top-right portion of the interface. The knowledgebase is a self-help tool which offers answers to frequently asked questions. In addition, it enables contact with our technicians via email and chat.
